Warehousing

Receiving, storage and outbound dispatch at Palmers Road — aligned with your transport bookings and cut-off times.

Warehousing at Palmers Road supports receiving, storage and dispatch aligned with your transport bookings.

Scope and role

From 155/50 Palmers Road, Truganina, HPS FREIGHT provides warehouse storage and handling for Victorian importers, distributors and manufacturers when receiving rules, documentation or lane complexity exceed a simple courier booking.

Road dispatch, warehouse handling and customer communication stay in one office so you are not chasing separate providers when a shipment changes.

Planning before dispatch

Quotes use real cargo data: weight, cubic measure, pallet count, pickup and delivery constraints, and site instructions. Call 03 8820 5141 or email info@hpsfreight.com.au with complete detail.

We confirm vehicle type, cut-off times and compliance paperwork before wheels roll. Regulated goods with incomplete documentation are not moved.

On-road execution

Drivers present consignment notes that match receiver references. Tail-lift, hand unload and forklift deliveries are booked deliberately.

Refused deliveries are recorded with reasons. We discuss re-delivery options transparently.

Warehouse linkage

When warehouse storage and handling includes storage, inbound manifests align with outbound runs to avoid idle double handling.

Advance shipment notices help allocate dock time. Label photos reduce SKU mismatches when carton codes differ from your inventory system.

Import and export touchpoints

Forwarding coordination aligns broker release with de-stuff, storage and Victorian road legs.

Containers should not sit in port precincts while transport is re-quoted from scratch on each arrival.

Capacity and peak periods

We prefer early volume conversations. Cut-off changes are communicated in writing during busy weeks.

Holding capacity honestly protects core customers instead of accepting everything and failing selectively.

Measurement that matters

Performance is measured against agreed windows and documented handovers, not informal expectations.

Share receiving hours, holiday closures and peak blackouts at the start of a relationship.

Receiving standards

Inbound pallets are checked against advance shipment notices where provided. Visible damage is noted before unload when possible; shortages are recorded against the manifest.

Weak or overhanging pallets are discussed before racking placement — we will not store unsafe stacks to save floor space short term.

Storage and slotting

Fast-moving SKUs can be positioned near dispatch doors when you advise us before inbound. Seasonal programs benefit from a simple inbound/outbound peak map so labour and yard space are planned.

Overflow floor storage is available with weekly billing clarity — random stacking without a plan compromises pick accuracy and safety.

Outbound dispatch

Outbound runs are tied to manifests that match your transport bookings. Clear labelling reduces mixed-SKU dispatch when import stock is de-stuffed into channels.

Cut-off times for same-day dispatch are published; during peak we may move cut-off earlier and communicate in writing.

Why one address matters

Warehousing at the same Truganina site as road dispatch means receiving staff and drivers reference the same job record — fewer handoffs, fewer disputes about where freight sat when an exception occurred.
