Industrial & Trade

Equipment, materials and trade goods with site induction, matched vehicles and safety rules respected.

Industrial freight respects induction, equipment matching and safety rules at manufacturing and trade receivers.

Scope and role

From 155/50 Palmers Road, Truganina, HPS FREIGHT provides industrial and trade freight for Victorian importers, distributors and manufacturers when receiving rules, documentation or lane complexity exceed a simple courier booking.

Road dispatch, warehouse handling and customer communication stay in one office so you are not chasing separate providers when a shipment changes.

Planning before dispatch

Quotes use real cargo data: weight, cubic measure, pallet count, pickup and delivery constraints, and site instructions. Call 03 8820 5141 or email info@hpsfreight.com.au with complete detail.

We confirm vehicle type, cut-off times and compliance paperwork before wheels roll. Regulated goods with incomplete documentation are not moved.

On-road execution

Drivers present consignment notes that match receiver references. Tail-lift, hand unload and forklift deliveries are booked deliberately.

Refused deliveries are recorded with reasons. We discuss re-delivery options transparently.

Warehouse linkage

When industrial and trade freight includes storage, inbound manifests align with outbound runs to avoid idle double handling.

Advance shipment notices help allocate dock time. Label photos reduce SKU mismatches when carton codes differ from your inventory system.

Import and export touchpoints

Forwarding coordination aligns broker release with de-stuff, storage and Victorian road legs.

Containers should not sit in port precincts while transport is re-quoted from scratch on each arrival.

Capacity and peak periods

We prefer early volume conversations. Cut-off changes are communicated in writing during busy weeks.

Holding capacity honestly protects core customers instead of accepting everything and failing selectively.

Measurement that matters

Performance is measured against agreed windows and documented handovers, not informal expectations.

Share receiving hours, holiday closures and peak blackouts at the start of a relationship.

Site access and induction

Industrial receivers may require steel-capped boots, escorted access, contractor registers completed in advance, and strict lunch-hour closures.

We schedule driver time for induction and waiting — not discovered as a surprise mid-run.

Equipment and loading

Forklift-on-site, crane lifts, and hand-unload-only sites require different vehicle and pallet planning. Long or heavy items may need open-deck transport.

Loading at trade suppliers with limited access is surveyed from photos and descriptions before booking.

Safety compliance

Drivers follow site speed limits and sign-in procedures. We will not instruct drivers to breach site rules to save a schedule — long-term access matters more than one rushed delivery.

Rejected freight is documented; re-delivery options are discussed with clear cost implications.

Trade customer programs

Recurring material deliveries benefit from receiver notes stored against each site: gate codes, max length, banned trailer types.
