A food processor purchased used equipment outside standard pallet dimensions.
Challenge
Equipment dimensions exceeded standard curtain-sider openings and lift points were unverified on used machinery.
The seller's site had limited loading access and no certainty a standard tail-lift vehicle could collect.
The receiver required delivery during a weekend maintenance shutdown — any miss would delay production restart.
Approach
We reviewed load photos, weight distribution and both site access plans before selecting open transport.
Escort requirements were assessed against the route. Loading was scheduled with a rigger present at collection.
Weekend delivery was confirmed only after the receiver's safety officer approved the plan in writing.
Results
Equipment arrived within the shutdown window without damage.
The customer now engages our office earlier on machinery moves with adequate lead time for survey and permits.
